Everyone loves a good detective story, but we doubt you have ever read one like this. In the 15th century the great Chinese Admiral Zheng He sailed across the Indian Ocean. He may also have sailed eastward to the Americas several decades before Columbus. That is the theme of our story, but the book isn't about Zheng He. It is about an adventurous young officer in his service named Qing.
In the land we now call Mexico, Qing meets an older Tarascan woman named Xmucane. She is rugged but wise, and has seen much. The two form a lasting bond stronger than any two cultures, solving the mysteries of the Tarascan Empire.
“A good traveler has no fixed plans and is not intent on arriving.”
